Robert L. Bennett was born in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late Lee Thomas and Hattie Mae Bennett. Robert graduated from Bluefield State with an Associate Degree in Natural Science and an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science from Fayetteville Technical Community College. He is licensed in North Carolina as a Funeral Director and Embalmer and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Funeral Director and Notary Public. Mr. Bennett is a member of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc.

Robert is an excellent embalmer and restorative artist. He is passionate about funeral service. He has always worked in a funeral home since the 6th grade. He was mentored by the late Mr. E.T Lugo of Lugo Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Robert resides in  Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and is a member of Pentecostal  Bridegroom Temple.  Robert is married to the former Ervina White and is the father of two daughters, Tamekia L. Brown and Tia C. Bennett and he also has one granddaughter, Alexis Brown. An avid lover of gospel music, Robert plays the piano and loves, “smoking a Hammond Organ” for local churches.

Ervina White Beauford, is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She also has a B.A.S.W. degree from the University of Pittsburgh and also an A.A.S degree in Mortuary Science from Northampton Area Community College.

Ervina  has held several professional positions in funeral service which included; past President and Chairman of the Board of Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity, Inc.( Alpha Theta Chapter); past  Pennsylvania State Secretary for the  National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc.; past Pennsylvania State President for the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Associations, Inc.; past President for Quaker State Funeral Directors, Inc.; and a past member of New Jersey Funeral Directors Association. Current positions  include; member of Philadelphia Funeral Directors and Quaker State Funeral Directors Association Board Member; and serving  a second term as  Chairman of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, Inc. an auxiliary of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc.

Ervina is the former host of “In Perspective” a radio broadcast which was aired weekly on WURD. The broadcast  was a platform for many consumer funeral issues, of which she has become a community advocate and lecturer in local community. Her community project for 2014 is to promote the “Ask for I.D” campaign. She aims to make consumers aware of the Non-Licensed funeral persons who hold themselves  out to be licensed and are not, so “ask for I.D” when making funeral arrangements.

Ervina is married to Robert L. Bennett, also a licensed funeral director. She is the mother of Joel and grandmother to Shianne. A true friend and lover of people, she has friends from all faiths and congregations which she has met in her ministry, however, the  7:30 am Sunday morning service at the Mount Airy Church of God in Christ is where she will be, hearing and doing the Word of God.
