Cherish The Memories Through Ceremony

After the death of a loved one, families all to often discount the value of ceremony . A ceremony such as a funeral or memorial service is an important part of the healing process. Coming together with friends and family, whether in a formal funeral or a more relaxed memorial service, gives everyone the opportunity to share memories, express emotions, and find comforting support. Whether you choose burial or cremation, the need for acknowledgement of the loss to family and friends is ever present. Options, options and more options, we are available to help guide your through the various types of ceremonies available to honor your loved one. Would your loved one want a huge ceremony complete with a horse drawn glass carriage or a quiet simple memorial service in the privacy of their home? We will help you to create a ceremony especially designed for uniqueness of your loved one.

Cremation

Cremation defined means to reduce a dead body to ashes by fire, especially as a funeral rite. This may be the manner in which your loved one has chosen to deal with their physical remains. The choice of cremation does not limit the ways you can honor their life. We suggest that you have a funeral or memorial service, because your need for such a healing experience is not lessened by the decision to be cremated. You can have a ceremony in a church, a hall, a chapel or in your home, you select the place where family and friends can gather to share memories and find support. The important thing to understand is that if you choose cremation, cremation is final and you must be comfortable with your decision. A cremation must be authorized by the next of kin in most states. Our staff will listen to your concerns, share our experiences and help with the ceremonies whether it be a funeral service with a cremation to follow or a memorial service. Cremated remains can be buried in a cemetery or families may choose to place the cremated remains in a decorative urn and keep them in the warmth and privacy of their own home. Others prefer to scatter the cremains on land, or at sea. It is permissible in all states to scatter remains, but there are legal requirements and regulations to follow.

Burial

When your loved one wants to be buried, the ceremonies will require your loved one to be in a casket. Your loved one can choose to have a traditional viewing with a service followed by a burial. It is also possible that your loved one has selected a funeral without a viewing ( closed casket) with a service and burial to follow. Lastly your loved may have requested a graveside service which is to have their casket taken directly to the graveside with a simple service to be held at the burial site. We are here to listen to your concerns and help you select the perfect way to gather together prior to the burial of your loved one in a cemetery.
