Fatima Alisha Traceé Leaphart

Fatima Alisha Traceé Leaphart, affectionately known as "Tink", was a cherished member of the Philadelphia community and a passionate dancer, passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on June 21, 1979, in Philadelphia, Fatima was the beloved daughter of Alfonso Lephart Jr. and Joanne Steward.

Fatima's early education took place within the Philadelphia Catholic School System, culminating in her graduation from Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1979. It was during this formative time that she was baptized at Corinthian Baptist Church, a place that remained significant to her throughout her life.

Following her high school graduation, Fatima pursued higher education at Delaware State University for three years before answering a higher calling by enlisting in the United States Airforce. During her service, she completed two tours in Afghanistan and one tour in Kuwait, exemplifying bravery and dedication to her country.

Fatima's love for dance blossomed at an early age, beginning at just three years old. Throughout her life, she became known for her extraordinary talent in tap dancing, captivating audiences and uplifting spirits through the joy of movement. Her energy was infectious, and she had a unique ability to light up the stage with her performances. Though she may not have performed alongside the legendary Michael Jackson, she embodied his spirit—fearless, expressive, and intimately connected to the music.

Beyond her remarkable performances, it was her vibrant personality and unwavering support for those around her that left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. As a beloved mentor and teacher, Fatima dedicated herself to nurturing countless students throughout Philadelphia, inspiring them not only to dance but to believe in their own potential and light. Her laughter and encouragement brought joy to many, and her presence had a way of electrifying any room she entered.

A viewing will be held in her honor on November 11, 2025, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Corinthian Baptist Church, located at 6113 North 21st Street, Philadelphia, PA 19138, followed immediately by her funeral service at 11:00 am. Fatima will then be laid to rest with military honors at Ivy Hill Cemetery, 1201 Easton Road, Philadelphia, PA 19150..

Fatima Alisha Traceé Leaphart will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and a vibrant spirit that will continue to inspire.
