Hilda Smathers, a cherished soul, peacefully departed this world on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 71. Her warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed by her devoted family and friends, who carry forward her spirit in their hearts.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to honor Hilda's life on Thursday, December 11, 2025. The public is invited to pay their respects during the viewing from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, preceding the service at 11:00 AM, all to be held at BVM Catholic Church, located at 2625 B. Street, Philadelphia, PA 19125.
