Lauretta Edwards-Mitchell

Lauretta Edwards-Mitchell of Philadelphia, PA died on April 20, 2023 at home, family by her side. Growing up as the fourth eldest of 12 children, Lauretta developed a spirit of advocacy leading to a public service commitment that continued throughout her life. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Dionne (Townsend) and Jacquelyn Lefra (Edwards), grandchildren Christian, Nicole, Maurice, Marquice and Mekkhi, and great-granddaughter, Kristian. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles E. Mitchell, and her parents, Clarence and Laura Lee Williams. Services will be held Monday, May 15, with a Memorial Service at 11am, at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Chapel of Peace, 321 Belmont Avenue,  Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
