Bishop Everett Van Debnam went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Philadelphia, PA on his 68th birthday. Bishop Debnam was born in Baltimore, MD on August 23, 1953. Bishop Debnam was the founder of Invictus Ministries located at 79 N. Hanover Street in Pottstown, Pa. He was active in the Pottstown community serving as the First Vice President of the NAACP Pottstown Chapter, Ecumenical Advisor to the Superintendent of the Pottstown School District, the first Chaplain of the Pottstown Police Department and many other boards and committees.
Bishop Debnam also served as the Second Presiding Prelate of Kingdom Connection Fellowship International under the leadership of the Presiding Prelate Jerome H. Ross, Sr. Our beloved Bishop Debnam will truly be missed. The family has chosen Heart of God Family Worship Center located at 201 N. Hanover Street, Pottstown PA 19464 to host the services. A walk through public viewing will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm with the local service to follow at 4:00 pm. The National Homegoing Celebration will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 with the public walk through viewing to begin at 8:00 am to 9:30 am with the services to start at 10:00 am. Due to the Covid Delta variant, restrictions will apply. Mask are required to enter the church building. Upon entering the church for the public viewing , you may sign the guest book, view ( no picture taking, please) and immediately exit the building. Interment will be at Limerick Garden of Memories 44 Swamp Road, Limerick PA 19468.
