Frances O'Hannon Obituary

Lady Frances O’Hannon, was born to Janella Williams & Matthew Bass on May 19, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On April 1, 2022, after a long bout of sickness God, in his infinite wisdom called her from labor to reward. Frances transitioned into that sweet by and by. Frances was preceded in death by her mother’s, Janella Williams and Frances Theodore, Father Matthew Bass and nine siblings, Juanita Williams, Verdell Ford, Elizabeth Coward, Maybelle Theodore, Diane Jones, Mathis Bass, Anna Bass, Mathew Bass Jr, Roberta Williams and Daniel O’Hannon Sr.

Frances, at two weeks old, was adopted by her aunt Frances Theodore from Greenwood South Carolina. She was lovingly given the nickname “Punkin” because of her red hair.  As a result, Punkin spent the first 14 years of her life in Greenwood, South Carolina. She was educated in the Greenwood South Carolina Public School system. There, she had many friends who loved her for her honesty and loyalty. Frances was stubborn but sweet, and a protector for those she loved, even at a young age.  She later moved to Philadelphia where she continued her education and graduated from the Simon Gratz High school in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in 1974.

In the year of 1970, Frances became a member of Pentecostal Faith Assembly Church under the leadership of Pastor Helen Campbell.  It was under this leadership Frances professed faith in Christ and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ where she received the gift of the holy ghost. In the year 1985 through the leading of the lord, Frances became a member of the House of Prayer for all People under the leadership of Bishop and Mother James O’Hannon Jr and there, her ministries and servitude increased. She could be found working in several capacities, such as, missionary. deaconess, administrator and evangelist. Frances was the Mrs. Fix It!

During her time at the House of Prayer for all People, she was found, courted, and married for 34 wonderful years to Joshua O’Hannon.  From this union, she gained her son Gianni Burgess, and gave birth to a daughter Joselyn O’Hannon-Brown. The love that Frances and Joshua shared with each other was admired by many and became the building blocks for several relationships and unions.  Bishop and Lady exemplified what it means to really be in love and to be loved.

In retrospect, Punkin has always exhibited a love for the culinary arts. At age nine she baked her first black berry pie from scratch.  As a result of her love, Frances became the sole proprietor of “Fran’s Catering” and “Aunt Fran's Baked Goods.” Frances gained great success and served many great people with her business. She had the privilege of doing business for people such as Tug McGraw of the Philadelphia Phillies, Billie Cunningham former coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, Child Star Actress Pixanne and popular tennis professional Arthur Ashe. Frances was very successful and was blessed as an entrepreneur.

In 2015, Bishop and Lady Joshua O’Hannon answered the call of God to shepherd and birth, “The Look at God Ministries” of Glenside, Pennsylvania.  During her times of affliction, her ministry expanded to hospitals, nursing homes, and afforded her the opportunity to be a patient care emotional support advisor for the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. This assignment was the catalyst for several speaking engagements in and out of the city of Philadelphia. Through many challenges with her health, she remained faithful to God and her assignment to the ministry and her family. Frances was extremely proud and grateful that her union was favored by God with a daughter who selflessly loved and cared for her even until her transition.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her devoted and faithful husband Joshua O’Hannon; daughter, Joselyn O’Hannon- Brown, (Anthony Brown); son, Gianni Burgess, (Shenique Burgess); her current and future grandchildren, (Joel), (Jayden), (Gianni Jr), (Royal) and (Riley); one great aunt, Juanita Smith; father in law, James O’Hannon Jr.; siblings, Gloria Reed, John Theodore, Marvalene Manick (James) Barry Jones, Daniel Williams (Gloria)  (Mathew Ford), (Andy Coward), Rochelle Williams, Ronald Williams (Nanette) James Williams.
